A resounding victory for the K&P.Group team: a high-profile dispute over the recovery of more than 200 million rubles in success fees

A large distribution company has concluded a legal services agreement with a lawyer.

The agreement provided for two types of payment: 480,000 rubles in a fixed amount and a success fee of 10% of the claim amount, which in terms of more than 200 million rubles.

‍ The lawyer worked in conjunction with the client's in-house lawyers and won in court, but the client did not pay him a success fee because the amount was unreasonably high.

Then the lawyer decided to cede the right to demand this money to a foreign firm. She went to court to recover more than 200 million rubles from the distribution company.

The K&P.Group team represented the distribution company in this dispute.
